This page explains, in plain language, how Allstar Lending makes money, what that means for the content you read here, and what it does not mean. It is the long version of the disclosure that appears in the footer of every page on this site.
How This Site Makes Money
Allstar Lending is a loan connection service. When you submit a request through our form, it is shared with a network of independent, state-licensed lenders; if a lender receives your request through our connection, that lender pays us a referral fee. That fee is our revenue. You are never charged for submitting a request, comparing offers, or using any page, guide, or tool on this site.
We are not a lender. We do not make credit decisions, set rates or terms, fund loans, service loans, or collect payments. Every loan offered through the network is offered by the lender named in the offer, on that lender's terms, under that lender's state licensing.
What Compensation Does and Does Not Affect
Compensation affects which lenders participate in the network and therefore which lenders your request can reach — lenders outside the network cannot receive it, and plenty of good lenders are outside it. Compensation does not determine whether any individual request receives an offer, what rate an offer carries, or what any editorial page on this site says.
Our guides, reviews, and comparison pages are produced by our editorial team independently of the network relationships. Review scores and testimonials reflect borrower feedback; rankings on comparison pages follow the stated methodology on those pages; and no lender can pay to change a score, a ranking, or a conclusion.
About the Figures on This Site
Every APR, payment amount, and total-cost figure on this site is a representative example, clearly labeled as an estimate, and provided for education — not an offer of credit. Actual terms are set by the lender that makes your offer and depend on your application, your state, and that lender's criteria. Loan amounts across the network generally range from $500 to $5,000; availability varies by state, and not all applicants will receive offers.
Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or tax advice. For decisions that depend on your specific situation, a licensed professional who can see that situation is the right source.
